Rockin’ through the pandemic …..

…at the Chit Chat Cafe

Adam Dietz is a singer/songwriter living in Oakland and still finding his way creatively following the COVID-19 pandemic. Presently, Adam is working in the studio with new bandmates on finishing the recording of a concept album entitled iSymbiot, Hoping to release by end of the year, 2025ish, iSymbiot is a snapshot of the symbiotic relationship between humankind and our Smartphones, AI, robot overlords. When not preparing for the Skynett apocalypse, Adam is helping launch the Bay Area chapter of Soldier Songs & Voices with hopes of hosting a songwriting workshop by Autumn of 2024.

Jack Sparks is primarily a songwriter who has composed and recorded songs for both male and female lead vocals in many genres, including Country, Rock, Christian, folk and more. Jack has performed several times at the Chat, joined by his many and varied “Jack and Friends” bands performing a combination of original tunes and covers. Jack has continued to perform at Open Mics and to compose new music since relocating to San Diego.

David Cooper and Nancy Roeser sing in the vocal duo "Small Town Depression." They formed about 5 years ago and made it through the pandemic in flying colors. Both David and Nancy have a rich history in music; David has released 4 CD's of music and Nancy has worked on large and small music venues in San Francisco and the North Bay. They sing from a catalogue of music from the 1920's to the present.

Wrob, the poet laureate of Antarctica, is a comedy blues ukulele singer-songwriter. He strums acoustic, electric, banjolele, and blows a mean kazoo. His songs are silly, searing, and sometimes sweet. Ken Newman is a Singer, Guitarist and Songwriter, performing in California, New York, Portland, Oregon and Zihuatanejo, Mexico.  His albums, “What Am I Afraid Of?” and “Blanket the Homeless” were released to broad critical praise both domestically and internationally.  He is currently working on his next album, “Downside Up” with a release scheduled for Spring ’25 followed by a European tour. His music videos have been awarded at over 20 International Film Festivals. Newman Music
